The Autumn Assembly 2007
What is the aim of the event?
In the theme of the INCOSE UK Spring Conference 2007 we identified the following challenges facing Systems Engineering:
- What is the value of Systems Engineering to my enterprise or domain, and how can it help to tackle the future challenges we face?
- What does it mean to be a Systems Engineer or to do Systems Engineering, and how does this relate to recruitment, education and career progression?
- What best practice currently exists or is being researched, to help us solve today’s Systems Engineering challenges?
The purpose of the Autumn Assembly is to provide a forum for the exploration of potential solutions to these challenges in more detail. This will be achieved through a series of half day sessions, each based upon a particular aspect of current Systems Engineering practice. Sessions will be organised and facilitated by recognised experts from the INCOSE community, in some cases representing an existing INCOSE working group.
Who should come to this event?
Anyone involved or interested in Systems Engineering is welcome at the workshops, and will benefit from exposure to this level of debate. We are particularly keen to gather the expert community to tackle these key Systems Engineering issues. We hope that over the course of the two days everyone will be able to find an opportunity to contribute their expertise to a discussion; taken part in a practical exploration or exercise; and learn more about an advanced technique from another part of the community which will benefit them or their organisation.
Programme (15th & 16th October 2007)
In the main, the event programme will consist of parallel sessions, most lasting half a day, focusing on a specific topic area as follows. (These sessions are listed alphabetically; the allocation of session to days and slots will be shown in the forthcoming brochure)
