INCOSE UK welcomes publication of Systems Engineering Apprenticeship Standard

 INCOSE UK welcomes the announcement today of the publication of the standard for a trailblazer apprenticeship in Systems Engineering, as part of the Defence Growth Partnership (DGP). Good Systems Engineering is critical to delivering effective military capability, on time and to budget. As the global professional body for Systems Engineering, INCOSE has been involved in setting the standard for practice to improve the delivery of major programmes across a range of sectors, including defence, aerospace, infrastructure and transport.  PDF

INCOSE UK recognised as the Leading Chapter in the International Council on Systems Engineering

 INCOSE UK (The UK Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering) has been awarded the highest accolade in INCOSE’s chapter awards programme – the President's Award for outstanding achievement. This recognises a wide range of activities including events, technical working groups, professional development, outreach, and contribution to INCOSE globally. As well as the President’s award, INCOSE UK received a Gold Circle Award and was also inducted into the INCOSE Hall of Fame.  PDF

INCOSE UK Celebrating 20 years.

 2014 is the 20th anniversary of the foundation of INCOSE UK, the UK Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). During this year we will be celebrating past achievements, recognizing the volunteer effort on which we depend, and looking forward to the future. New initiative aims to improve the delivery of complex projects

 Two leading organisations have come together to enhance the successful delivery of complex projects. The Association for Project Management (APM) and the UK Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE UK) have combined forces to create a Joint Working Group (JWG) on Systems Engineering and Project Management (SEPM). The JWG aims to help organisations avoid some of the costliest problems associated with complex projects, such as delays and cost overruns, by describing and promoting good practice in the fusion of systems engineering and project management....  PDF

18 INCOSE UK Members receive their Chartered Engineer status through a new agreement recognising Systems Engineers’ professional experience.

INCOSE UK welcomes two more UK Companies to our growing Advisory Board.

 Raytheon UK and SA Capabilities have joined the INCOSE UK Advisory Board (UKAB) in the last month bringing the membership to 32 organisations, all of whom are committed to Systems Engineering.  PDF

INCOSE UK and the IET join forces with 7 of the UK’s leading organisations to develop career pathways in Systems Engineering.

 The UK Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE UK) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) joined forces with seven of the UK’s leading technology and engineering organisations to launch a joint initiative to provide new options for those wishing to develop their career pathways in Systems Engineering.  PDF

INCOSE UK and the IET announce partnership agreement.

 We are pleased to announce that the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and INCOSE UK have recently signed an agreement which enables systems engineers to apply for professional registration without having to leave INCOSE UK to become Chartered Engineers (CEng) registered through the Engineering Council. The scheme also supports registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) (as well as EngTech and ICTTech).  PDF

Engineering conference registration open - 7th bi-annual European Systems Engineering Conference

 During May, 23-26 2010, the European Countries of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) will organise the 7th bi-annual European Systems Engineering Conference (EuSEC 2010) in Stockholm, Sweden. The theme for EuSEC 2010 is "Systems Engineering and Innovation", addressing the expanding scope of Systems Engineering application and responsibility in all kind of industries. Examples of this expanding scope are addressed in the strength of Systems Engineering in its traditional home of aerospace and defence, and in its growing application in complex consumer and industrial systems, transportation, medical care and water management.  PDF

INCOSE UK Wins President’s Award for Best International Chapter

 At this year’s INCOSE International Symposium we were once again awarded the INCOSE President’s award for the Best International Chapter. Part of the reason for our success is the very high standard of technical activity undertaken by individual members and UK based working groups.

Our Chapter was also awarded the President's Award for outstanding Achievement as an INCOSE Chapter at the same event.

DoDAF and MODAF Modelling to Unite.

 A new industry standards group, the UPDM Group, has been established to build on previous efforts within the Object Management Group (OMG) to develop a modeling standard that supports both the US Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the UK’s Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF). The modeling standard is called the Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM). The group’s mission statement is the following: “The UPDM Group is committed to creating a unified profile for MODAF and DoDAF, leveraging the capabilities of UML, SysML and other OMG standards.”  PDF
