Design for Service - making profits not just products
The in-service phase of many systems is the longest and creates the most revenue. Therefore the requirements for and the concept of service needs to be understood by a Systems Engineer – both for the delivery of service, and the conceptual design of the product. Paul Roycroft from Rolls-Royce will discuss the development and application of tools and principles of “Engineering for Service”. Rolls-Royce design and maintain products with a long in-service cycle, and increasingly support those products within a fleet context through long term service agreements. So if you are interested in design for in-service, or the service phase of the product this event will be of interest.
